THE CANDYBOX REVUE ANNOUNCES ITS 2025 SEASON

Atlanta’s Premiere Burlesque Ensemble Presents its 11th Season

ATLANTA (August 26th, 2024) – The Candybox Revue, under the leadership of CEO and Creative Director, Roula Roulette, and its Director of Production Minnie Mercury, today announced its 2025 Season.

The 11th season will feature two mainstage show premieres: Pop That Pastrie!

Burlesque Show and SportsBra Burlesque Show. Audiences will see the return of fan favorite New York Stripped Broadway & Musicals Burlesque Weekend and staple productions like You Sing, We Strip Burlesque Karaoke and the un-themed 1259 Burlesque Show.

The 2025 season is presented at the intimate venue at Atlanta's Metropolitan Studios Arts & Movement Community and at Actor’s Express Theatre Company.

"We've got a lineup of shows that promise to push the boundaries of burlesque and entertain audiences in a variety of ways—serious, silly, and exciting. We pride ourselves on raising the bar for burlesque and variety entertainment, while challenging social norms and promoting inclusivity and representation. Our 2025 show themes align perfectly with this mission. We’re also excited to welcome more guest performers from across the country—or even the world—to join us on stage. This is part of our commitment to fostering a spirit of community and togetherness," shares CEO and Creative Director, Roula Roulette

The troupe kicks off a whirlwind February with Love Bites Back!, a show for the love scorned, and the sequel show to 2024's Love Bites.

In March, “grease your muffin tray” and “grab your jugs” for Pop That Pastrie!, a food-themed burlesque show that’s sure to “take the cake” with Candybox (un)covering everything from cooking shows, to famous chefs, to pumpkin spice . . . whatever is food related!

In August, the clash of sequins and spotlights that started in 2016 continues with New York Stripped VII Broadway & Musicals Burlesque Experience. This is the 8th annual burlesque tribute to musical theater that is a fan-favorite!

October’s creepy and whimsical Something Wicked This Way Strips will bring a swirling cornucopia of talent at the circus themed Halloween ball and burlesque show extravaganza!

In November, the rivalry between sportsball and striptease will play out in SportsBra Burlesque Experience at Metropolitan Studios. Whether you're a die-hard fan of football, baseball, curling, RayGun, or some other sportsball spectacle, you’ll want to witness this exhilarating spectacle.

The troupe has additional unannounced shows and events in the works!

"Food, sports, musical theatre . . . these are a few of my favorite things! We are excited to see what fresh, new, fun things our members will bring to the Metropolitan Studios stage next year, and personally, I feel these themes are open-ended enough to allow a lot of creativity to flow.  Candybox continues to subvert and rise above expectations, and I have no doubt that 2025 will follow the same path. I am also very excited about the variety of producers we have working on the shows next year as they will be bringing different, innovative voices to help guide our mainstage and quarterly shows," says Director of Production Minnie Mercury.
